We are currently looking for friendly, professional, and motivated men or women as candidates for our Billing Coordinator position at our corporate office in Austin, Texas.

 Primary responsibilities include:

• Coordinates and prepares customer billing.
• Reviews special invoices to ensure accuracy on weights, pricing, etc.
• Reviews and analyzes FedEx invoices and reports to ensure accuracy.
• Processes approved Special Pricing Requests.
• Identify and resolve customer billing disputes.
• Performs follow up action including contacting customers and staff by phone or email.
• Use Great Plains and OPS to generate various types of billing reports
• Prepares reports for management.
• Maintain and track Purchase Orders for special accounts.
• Send credit letters to customers with credit balances.
• Monitor closed and inactive accounts.
• Run and post sales journals.
• Process and enter cash receipts as needed.

Minimum qualifications:

Education: College degree desired; equivalent work experience may substitute.

Skills/Experience:

• 3-5 years billing/accounting experience
• Ability to manage to deadlines
• Knowledge of Great Plains
• Knowledge of MS Access and Excel
• Strong organizational and excellent written and verbal communication skills

This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and control the operation in a manner that provides maximum service to our customers while maintaining a safe, productive, and cost effective operation.

Principle duties include, but are not limited to: daily timecard / payroll entry, interviewing and selecting courier and data entry candidates, training and development of new employees, courier safety training, maintaining an acceptable level of safety, quality and productivity, employee performance evaluations including safety check rides, ensure scheduled pick-ups and deliveries are made in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completion of package data information, oversight of inbound/outbound package sorts to ensure package routing accuracy, scheduling, and fleet vehicle maintenance as well as focusing on cost control, timely submittal of invoices and delivery / pick-up route work and / or line-hauls as needed. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, dispatching systems and be willing to travel in support of other stations.

Must be at least 21 yrs of age & have valid TX Drivers License. Clean driving record that would include no more than one (1) moving violation for past three (3)years, no (0) at-fault accidents for the past three (3) years and no (0) DWI/DUI for the past seven (7) years. Duties will include accurately entering alpha and numeric package data using hand-held devices, accurately sort freight, lift/handle packages repeatedly, and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Applicants for these position must meet the following pre-employment requirements:

• At least 21 years old for driving positions.
• Background check/criminal history/MVR.
• Lone Star Overnight is committed to a drug-free working environment. Passing a drug screen test is required prior to employment.
• Applicants for courier positions must have a clear driving record. This includes no more than one moving violation and no “at-fault” accidents on MVR in the past 3 years, and no DWI/DUI's
  in the past seven years.
• In order to perform the job of courier, candidates must be able to lift up to 40 lbs without assistance and be able to maneuver up to 150 lbs with the aid of a two-wheeler.
